SHADY GROVE RESTAURANT
A spot to eat in Austin my family and frequent. It has a great atmosphere, great service and excellent food at reasonable prices. You've got to check this one out while in Austin, you won't be disappointed. They have a great Chicken Fried Steak (highly recommend), and also you can get the green best chili on anything you order.
Shady Grove opened its doors to customers in January of 1992. Nestled under the shade of a tall pecan grove just minutes from dowtown, the restaurant fast became an Austin favorite.
Styled after the architecture made popular by the State Parks built in th 40's, the restaurant offers homey relaxed dining inside and out. Shady Grove's patio and juke box, as well as its food has been the recipient of many "Best of Austin" Polls.
Shady Grove reflects Austin's appreciation of the outdoors and entertainment. Reminiscent of long summer nights at the drive in, the restaurant's Starlight Theater features Hitchcock classics, old westerns, sci-fi flicks and beach movies. These great movie classics never looked better than when seen under the stars on the sweeping patio at Shady Grove, sipping a Shady Thing.
